In early 2017 I finally decided to ‘up-my-game’ in business.
Yep, you read that correctly.
The truth of the matter is, although I’ve been a serial entrepreneur for more than two decades - I’m a multiple published author; I’ve manifested amazing things like travelling the world and getting paid for it … blah, blah, blah …you’d probably be forgiven for doing a double take here.
The truth is, I wasn’t really playing at 100% … my mindset was out of whack with some major money blocks and I was self-sabotaging.
That’s when I decided to finally step up and invest in a world-class mentoring programme of 6 and 7-figure earners which would help me break through my limitations so that I could help and serve more people.
What I discovered changed my mindset, my business and my life forever. I increased my income by a staggering 1,000%... yep, and that’s not a typo!
You may have heard the saying that you ‘become’ the sum-total of the 5 people you spend most time around and wow, I didn’t believe it until I surrounded myself with these kick-ass men and women, who are literally changing the world. The money they earn is just the score-card of how many people they’re helping.
The most startling thing I discovered was that ALL of them, without exception, had daily rituals that supported their mindset and their personal, business and financial growth.
And, I’m going to share 5 (simple, but not easy) daily rituals that 6 and 7 figure earners do, without fail, to increase and maintain their financial and business success and you can do them too …
1. BECOME AN 'EARLY BIRD'
Hey, now when I heard about this one I was like “You’ve got to be kidding right?” Getting up a 5am or 6am in the morning, for me, was like extracting teeth.
I LOVE my sleep.
But, it seems that the old wives tale of ‘early to bed, early to rise, makes you healthy, wealthy and wise,” is not too far from the truth.
The first ritual of these highly successful entrepreneurs is to get up when the rest of their household and most other people in their neighbourhoods are still snoozing.
When I tried this for the first time I felt resentful and grumpy. I begrudgingly crawled out of my nice warm bed and slipped downstairs as quietly as I could so to not wake up my husband and two sons,
After making myself a nice cuppa, I settled onto the sofa to start the rest of the ritual … which I’ll come to in a minute.
Now, the thing is, there is something quite naughty about sleeking downstairs when everyone else is fast asleep …and let’s not get all Freudian about it … but in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it really is rare nowadays to spend any time on your own. Truly on your own.
I found this time ‘for myself’ truly refreshing, replenishing and uplifting, especially when you apply the rest of these steps …
Now, I could go into a lot of detail here about the resonance of your mind and the scale of consciousness and the amazing healing effects of this principle, but that’s for another time. Instead, let me just spell this out in the simplest terms I know.
The bottom line is, the more thanks and gratitude you give, the more you will attract wonderful things into your life. Whatever resists persists and equally, the more we focus on something, the more it multiplies.
So, grabbing my journal is step 2 of this success ritual.
Giving thanks for everything and everyone that I have in my life right now, and then giving thanks, with certainty, for all the incredible things that are being brought into reality.
There is always, and will always be, someone who is worse off than you. Giving thanks for even waking up in the morning, when so many are not allowed that privilege is something to be thankful for.
Increasing your energy levels is the third success principle of this daily ritual.
You may be a jogger, a gym-goer, or like me a crazy dancer when no-one is watching.
I have experimented with this principle over many years and what I noticed is that the right kind of motion can increase the right kind of emotion i.e. happiness.
When I’m happy, I attract more opportunities, wonderful people into my life, more money, more adventures etc.
So lifting your energy levels by doing something that makes you feel good and energised, will set you up for the day. You’ll feel happier, more productive and more uplifted.
After I’ve journaled, I plug in my ear phones and dance like a crazy-loon around my lounge … and it’s so much fun, because no-one is watching (well I hope they’re not!).
4. FEEDING YOUR BODY AND MIND
Okay, I don’t want to play ‘food police’ here, but this is what I noticed about the 6 and 7 figure successful entrepreneurs.
You are what you eat. When you feed your body with nourishing food and liquids, it will repay you with more energy, vitality and feel-good chemicals.
If you’re tucking into a greasy fry-up, or living off fast food all the time, then you’ll be sluggish and so will your mind. I would also add that ready meals, that quick go-to for busy entrepreneurs, and high-sugar breakfast cereals are also something that you may want to cut down on.
You don’t need to become a Vegan or Vegetarian, Wheat-grass drinking, Chlorophyll chugging maniac … but you just might want to start cleaning up your diet … because that’s what I’ve noticed about these successful entrepreneurs, they put nourishing foods and liquids into their bodies that improve their overall health, endurance and happiness.
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” This is what Albert Einstein said and if you’ve read any books such as ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill or dug deeper with books such as The Master Key System by Charles Haanel, or simply watched the newer version of ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne, then you’ll know all about the power of the subconscious mind and the power of your imagination.
Without fail, all these high earning entrepreneurs spend at least 5 to 10 minutes a day visualising, with feeling, the events they want to bring into existence.
And, if you’re telling me that you haven’t got a very good imagination, I’ll just ask you to think about what colour your front door is … because in a split second your brain has just seen a picture of it to give me the right answer.
Imagination and visualising is a very important part of this 5-step daily ritual.
